About Kitchens by Design

Welcome to Kitchens by Design Ltd. We are a small, local, family-run, kitchen design company, situated in the heart of Worcestershire.

The company was originally set up by John Walker-Smith in 1986, whose vision and flair for design was well known within the kitchen industry. John’s vision and renovation transformed the Gallery into the stunning studio that it is now. Andy worked closely with John for some years before taking over the business in 2018, when John retired. Andy has continued with John’s hard work and vision to keep the business up to date and on trend. This can be seen in the most recent displays, the SLX, and the SLC S2.

SieMatic kitchens are market leaders for innovation and engineered to last a lifetime. In fact, we have never done the same kitchen twice, only helping returning customers when they move.

We are master partners with Gaggenau, Siemens, Bora and NEFF, which ensures we get great prices from the factory, which we can pass on to you. There is never a sale in our business but there is always a deal to be had!

Kitchens by Design is very much a family-run business, you will often see Andy’s wife, Sam, who has now joined him in the workplace. Andy and Sam’s grown-up children, parents and cats (Tink and Ravioli) who also play a role within the business from time to time.
